OUR READ

Hinton's resignation from Google and subsequent safety crusade gave the AI risk conversation something it desperately needed: a messenger no one can dismiss. When the person who did more than anyone to make deep learning work tells you it might be the last invention humans ever need to make, the dismissive 'you just don't understand the technology' rebuttal dies on arrival. His Nobel and Turing credentials make him the only safety voice that CEOs and heads of state cannot afford to ignore.
